Department of Commerce organised international seminar on demystifying investment options exploring different investment vehicles on 23.02.2024

Department of  Commerce , Mazharul Uloom College, Ambur organised One day International Seminar (Blended Mode) on  “Demystifying Investment Options-Exploring Different Investment Vehicles” on 23.2.24 at 8.30am in Sir Syed Ahmed Khan Convention Hall.  Mr.Nayeemullah Khan , Assistant Professor  was the master of the ceremony. Dr. S.Afsar Ahmed ,Assistant Professor recited Qirat.  Dr. P.Saleem Basha delivered the welcome address. Dr. M. Mohammed Ismail, Principal delivered Presidential Address and Dr. A. Shafee Ahmed  Khan, Vice President (  Administration) delivered Special address. Dr. N.Fathima Thabassum, Vice President, Commerce Association, presented the profile of the resource persons.

Dr. Sharan Kumar Shetty, Deputy Vice Chancellor/Consultant (Quality Research. Innovation & COE), Texila American University –Zambia was the resource person for Technical Session I. He delivered a talk on the topic   “Unleashing the Potential for Personal Finance”.  through online. In this session, the speaker emphasised on setting short term and long term financial goals and explaining how investment decisions can help achieve these goals. The speaker also described about the different investment options and  the potential risks associated with them. Students interacted with the speaker and

The resource person for the technical session II was Dr. S. Mohamed Rafique, Assistant Professor, PG and Research Department of Commerce C. Abdul Hakeem College (Autonomous), Melvisharam. He delivered a talk on “Mastering Mutual Funds: Strategies for Successful Investing”.  In this session, the students learnt  about investment in mutual funds and importance of diversification of investment and asset allocation in building a well-balanced investment portfolio.

After the technical sessions, Students presented papers pertaining to the topic of the seminar .  123 students participated in the event. The sessions concluded with Vote of Thanks by Mr.V. Muthu  on a positive note.
