About the Department


The Department of B.Com Corporate Secretaryship was started in the year 1984. The B.Com. Corporate Secretaryship Programme tends to reduce the gap between concept based learning and practical applicability. The Programme tends to incorporate professional knowledge. The Department strives to make students versatile, proficient and competent to survive in the competitive arena. The Standards and values are not compromised and the students are ever motivated to reach the pinnacle of success in their lives and the Department never compromises on the quality of education and keenly focusses to give a holistic experience to the students in every sphere of their lives.

2020-2021

Corporate Secretaryship Association organized One Day Webinar on “Digital Marketing” on 25 May 2021 at 10.00 am. Dr. S. Mohamed Rafique, Asst. Professor, PG and Research Department of Commerce, C. Abdul Hakeem College (Autonomous), Melvisharam was the resource person and delivered a lecture on the topic “Digital Marketing”. Mr. A. Noorul Ameen, Head, Department of Corporate Secretaryship welcomed the gathering. Mr. A. Sanjeev Kumar, Asst. Prof., Department of Corporate Secretaryship introduced the Resource Person to the gathering. Dr. K. H. Kaleemullah Principal i/c presided over the inaugural session. Dr. S. Mohamed Rafique enriched the gathering with the insightful understanding about the concepts of Digital Marketing. Mr. Hafiz A. Niyaz Ahmed, Asst. Prof Department of Corporate Secretaryship, proposed the Vote of Thanks. Prof. A. Noorul Ameen, Head, Department of Corporate Secretaryship was the convener of this webinar.

2019-2020

The Department organized National Level Online Quiz for Students, Research Scholars and Academician on "Income Tax" from 29 May 2020 to 31 May 2020. 454 members consisting of faculty members, research scholars and students from various institutions within and outside Tamil Nadu participated in the Online Quiz. Prof. A. Noorul Ameen was the Coordinator for National Level Online Quiz.

2018-2019

47 students from the department participated in National Level Seminar on "Innovative Practices in Modern Business" conducted by PG & Research Department of Commerce and Corporate Secretaryship, Mazharul Uloom College, Ambur on 07 March 2019.

All the Students of IB Com (CS) submitted their Economics Assignments through online to Dr. A. Arifa Begum, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics.

2017-2018

A Special Guest Lecture on "The Latest Event in Digital Environment" Organized on 20 February 2018.Mr. D. Viswanathan, Guest Faculty on Core Banking Solution was the chief guest. Under the auspices of Corporate Secretaryship Association, Department of Corporate Secretaryship conducted a Special Programme on 20 March 2018 at 11 a.m. at N. M. Zackriah in our College. Dr. S. M. Krishnan, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Commerce, Government Arts College for Men, Krishnagiri delivered a special lecture on "Personality Development.

2016-2017

A special function "CORPO - 2017" was organized on 22 March 2017. The chief guest was Dr. S. Syed Rafiq Ahmed, Associate Professor, PG & Research Department of Commerce, New College, Chennai. He delivered a lecture on "Personality Development". Prof. M. Mohamed Baqhar was the convener of the programe.
