Our Blood Donors Club is engaged in the life-saving efforts by making blood easily available through our donors. We welcome the thoughtful volunteers to donate blood to support the noble cause. By donating blood you can make a difference between LIFE and DEATH. And we have been donating blood to support the noble cause periodically.

Annual Report 2022-2023 Mazharul Uloom College, Ambur RED RIBBON CLUB AND BLOOD DONORS CLUB (RRC & BDC) International Youth Day 2022 On the Occasion of International Youth Day 2022, Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society (TANSACS) organized a State and District Level online quiz competition for the Red Ribbon Club (RRC) volunteers across Tamil Nadu. This quiz competition aims at generating awareness on HIV/AIDS, STI and Voluntary blood donation along with testing general awareness among the students. The online quiz competition was conducted on 12th August 2022 from 11.00am to 11.45am. Around 25 RRC Volunteers of our college participated in the quiz competition. Mr. T. Rahul, III B.Sc Mathematics won Thirupattur District Level Second Prize of Rs. 750 as Amazon Gift Card from TANSACS.
RRC State and District Level Online Quiz Competition Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society (TANSACS) organized a State and District Level online quiz competition for the Red Ribbon Club (RRC) volunteers across Tamil Nadu on 21 Nov 2022. This quiz competition aims at generating awareness on HIV/AIDS, TB, VBD, HIV Work Place Policy, Adoloscent Health, Mental Health and Other Public Health Threat, along with testing general awareness among the students. The online quiz competition was conducted on 21st November 2022 from 11.00am to 11.45am. Around 50 RRC Volunteers of our college participated in the quiz competition and received the participation Certificate.
RRC Orientation Programme Prof. P.Mohamed Jafar, Assistant Coordinator, RRC and 2 RRC Volunteers have attended RRC Orientation Programme held at Thiruvalluvar University on 10.02.2023.
Health Awareness Program The RRC in collaboration with the Government Hospital, Ambur and the TANSACS organised a Health Awareness Program for the Microbiology Girl students of our college at 12 noon on 23.02.2023. Nearly 100 students participated in the program. Dr. M SharmilaDevi, Chief Medical officer, GH, Ambur was the chief Guest and Resource Person. The program was organised by Mr. P. Mohamed Jafar, Assistant Professor of Urdu,RRC, Coordinator i/c. Ms.Umme Kulsoom from Ill B.Sc (MB) recited the Qirath. All the students recited the Tamil Thai Vazhthu. Ms. Roohi Sabiha of II B. Sc (MB) welcomed the gathering. Dr. P. Rizwan Ahmed, Vice Principal (Academic) delivered the presidential address. Mrs.G.R.Gayethri felicitated the Chief Guests and Resource persons. Dr.Sharmila Devi handled an elobrate and detailed session on female health awareness. Every female health issues were discussed. It was an informative and interactive session where students clarified thier doubts on health and hygiene. The other resource persons, Ms. Gayathri, ICTC Councelor, GH, Ambur and Ms. M Sumathi, ICTC Councelor, Primary Health centre, Madhanur also gave a number of health tips and shared the importance of being healthy young women. Ms. lfrah Fathima, II B.Sc (MB) delivered the Vote of thanks. The session ended with the National Anthem.
Blood Donation Camp The NSS, RRC,BDC, YRC , Rotaract Club of our college, jointly organized a blood donation camp in collaboration with the Government Hospital, Ambur and the Rotary Club, Ambur.Dr. Sharmila Devi , Chief Medical Officer,GH , Ambur addressed the students about the significance of blood donation. Dr. K . Karthikeyan defined the process of how blood donated is utilized for different requirements. The students enthusiastically donated the blood. Students from first year checked their blood groups and 20 students donated the blood in the blood camp.
Activities 2020-2021 As per the Project Director directive, Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society (TANSACS) organized an online quiz contest for the Red Ribbon Club (RRC) members across Tamil Nadu. This quiz competition aims at generating awareness on HIV/AIDS, STI and Voluntary blood donation along with testing general awareness among the students. The online quiz contest was conducted on 30 December 2020. The following 14 RRC Volunteers of our college participated in the quiz contest.
One Day Peer Education Training for RRC Programme Officers and Volunteers M. Parveen Banu Program Officer participated in the Thiruvalluvar University Red Ribbon Club (RRC) and Tamil Nadu State Aids Control Society (TANSACS), Chennai jointly organized a One Day Peer Education Training for RRC Programme Officers and Volunteers on the theme “Celebrating Life through Ending HIV/AIDS” on 10 February 2021 at Thiruvalluvar University Auditorium. |
